For a short time the former Clyde Pilotage Authority / Clydeport pilot cutter Gantock was operated as a patrol boat by Strathclyde Police. She retained her original name for this work. However, she proved unsatisfactory and was eventually replaced by a former Arun-class RNLI lifeboat, which was renamed Strathclyde for her new duties. This view shows Gantock at Braehead pontoon during her time with Strathclyde Police. She was the first Police boat on the Clyde since the disposal of the City of Glasgow Police's Semper Vigilo.
