In 1982 Waverley's Saturday sailing took her from Glasgow to Tighnabruaich in the Kyles of Bute - the same sailing that she had operated from her earliest preservation days. Its a sailing that she has continued to operate into the 21st Century. This 1982 view was obviously not taken at Easter - the profusion of purple heather on the hillside indicates late August. The seven white houses on he shore of the East Kyle in the village of Colintraive are sometimes called the Seven Sisters. They are reputed to have been built by a developer named Hinschalwood. Various tales related to their arrangement have been told.
